Theo says he has run three Claude accounts down to 0% since Opus 5.5 landed, and priced the usage at $2,086, $2,442 and $2,182, averaging $2,200 a week. That works out to roughly $9,000 a month against a $200 subscription. The figure is his own accounting of his own accounts, not an Anthropic number.

Theo corrects himself: Opus did not fix Astra's port, it threw it away
Theo now says he was wrong about how Opus 5.5 finished his TypeScript compiler port to Rust: it did not resume where Astra stalled, it judged all of Astra's code slop and rewrote from scratch in a new crate. By his count it made more progress in 10 hours than Astra did in two weeks.
It actually decided all of Astra's code was slop, and made an entirely new crate with a from-scratch rewrite.
