Kent C. Dodds merged 110 PRs without opening his laptop
Kent C. Dodds says he went to bed at 110 merged pull requests in a single day, with six agents still working, and never opened his computer. dax, meanwhile, wants to kill the phrase "rogue agent" before it becomes an excuse.
The big disagreement
dax: there is no such thing as a rogue agent
dax says the phrase "rogue agent" is blame shifting, because an agent is software somebody wrote and deployed and that person owns what it does. He followed up with a joke about a rogue agent burning $100K in API tokens and asking for a refund. The thread drew heavy reply traffic without a named engineer taking the other side.
there's no such thing as a rogue agent man its software someone made and deployed they are responsible for what it does

Kent C. Dodds says he merged 110 PRs in one day, phone only
Kent C. Dodds says he hit a new personal record of merged pull requests in a single day, ending at 110 with six agents still running. He says he never opened his computer, having had church meetings and an extra long play practice, and credits @poteto's team's bot as a major part of the workflow.
I didn't even open my computer today.
How they actually work
Theo stopped queueing messages and steers agents mid-run instead
Theo says he does not like queueing messages and prefers sending a steer mid-task, arguing modern models take the correction without getting distracted, and notes you can change the default in T3 Code. Kent C. Dodds replied that his main driver does not offer queueing at all, and that interrupting it with unrelated work is fine.
It's not a problem to give it a bunch of stuff to do and interrupt it. It just figures it out even if the subjects are completely different.
